Children’s Village and Family Activities

 
 

Saturday August 15, 2026

The Children's Parade theme will be "The River Wild," presented by CUPE Local 126.

11:00 am: Children and families are invited to gather at the Children's Village to prepare for The River Wild Children’s Parade by dressing as water creatures or wearing items such as bathing suits, water wings, goggles, and snorkels.

11:25 to 11:45 am: The River Wild Children’s Parade will wind through the festival grounds and down to the Miskin Law Main Stage, where it will become a "swimming hole".

11:45 am through 1:30 pm: Family-oriented events on the Miskin Law Main Stage include:

  • 11:40 am: Opening ceremony with Chief Laure Carr and Jaclyn Carr of Hiawatha First Nation

  • 11:55 am: Round Dance led by Kelli Marshall

  • 12:10 pm: Performance by Songs of Scratch Garden

  • 12:45 pm: Performance by Melissa Payne

12:00 noon to 5:00 pm

Children’s Village activities including giant games provided by TD, bracelet making, sponge races, arts and crafts, and more! A quiet time/nursing tent with covered sides is set up in the Children’s Village.

Please note the Children’s Village is a place for parents to experience with their children. There are no child minding services at the festival, including the Children’s Village.


Sunday August 16, 2026

11:45 am through 4:15 pm: Family-oriented events on the Generation Solar Stage and TD Stage include:

  • 11:45 am: Performance by Glen Caradus on the Generation Solar Stage

  • 12:15 pm: Performance by Hunt the Hare on the TD Stage

  • 3:45 pm: Performance by Glen Caradus on the Generation Solar Stage

12:00 noon to 5:00 pm
